Hrafnar who?

For those who want to experience the wild, not just look at it. Hrafnar Guides takes you off the beaten track and into the raw heart of Iceland. We leave the crowds behind to show you the legends, the landscapes, and the power of the North – safely and authentically.

our values

Insight
We are not just drivers. We provide context, not just a view. We have the ability to "read" the land and see clearly where others see chaos.
Guardianship
Security, experience, and memory.  It is the promise that you are in the hands of a professional who knows every shift of the Icelandic weather.
Essence
True beauty is found in reduction. We strip away the noise to reveal the raw truth of Iceland. If it doesn't add meaning, it is removed.
We combine hard-earned grit with deep local knowledge. We know the weather, the roads, and the stories written in the rocks.
Private adventures with a trusted local guide who knows every secret spot.

We had such a fantastic time on the Solheimajokull glacier! Our guide, Ondřej, was not only super knowledgeable but also really fun and made the whole adventure feel safe and exciting. Walking on the ice, seeing the deep crevasses, and exploring the glacier’s incredible formations was unforgettable. We were enchanted by the views and just couldn’t stop taking photos. Truly one of the highlights of our trip to Iceland!

Amazing time on a glacier. It was our first time on a glacier and the guide was very helpfull and we felt safe. The cherry on top was that Ondrej helped me to find a perfect spot to ask my girlfriend if she marry me. And she said Yes :)

Ondřej is an amazing guide. We had so much fun with him! He made the glacier experience unforgettable. I always felt safe and comfortable in his hands. He really pays attention to every detail and cares about everyone in the group. On top of that, he takes incredible photos that capture the best moments of the trip. I can’t recommend him enough.

FAQ

The wild requires preparation. Find the answers to essential questions before we step off the beaten path.
Where do we meet our guide?

We offer a stress-free, private door-to-door pickup service. Whether you are staying in Reykjavík or Keflavík, we will pick you up directly at your accommodation or a designated nearby meeting point (e.g., official bus stops in downtown Reykjavík).

Note: To ensure everything goes smoothly, we will contact you via phone or WhatsApp the evening before your tour to confirm the exact timing and location.

What should I bring to the tour?

Footwear: Please wear appropriate footwear based on your chosen activity. For glacier walks and volcanic hikes, sturdy hiking boots with ankle support are mandatory for your safety. For our sightseeing tours, comfortable and waterproof walking shoes are sufficient.

Clothing: Iceland’s weather changes fast! We recommend dressing in layers: a warm base layer, a fleece or wool mid-layer, and a waterproof jacket and trousers.

Blue Lagoon: If your tour includes a soak, don’t forget your swimwear!

Essentials: A small backpack with water and snacks will keep you comfortable throughout the day.

What if the weather is bad?

In Iceland, we say: "If you don't like the weather, just wait 5 minutes." However, your safety is our absolute priority.

If the conditions are simply "Icelandic" (rain or wind), the tour proceeds as planned.

If the weather is unsafe (extreme storms or road closures), we will contact you as soon as possible to reschedule the tour or provide a full refund. We monitor the forecast and local safety alerts (SafeTravel.is) constantly.

What if I have to cancel my tour?

We understand that plans can change. To provide the best service for our private tours, we apply the following cancellation policy:

– 8 days or more before the event: Full refund.
– between 8 and 5 days
before the event: 50% cancellation fee.
– 4 days or less
before the event (including no-shows): 100% cancellation fee.

If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as soon as possible via email or WhatsApp at +354 7933692.
